Perfect Health - Mind Body Soul


Everyone has a different picture of perfect health. For one, an effortless 5km run might be the epitome of ideal health, a raw or vegan lifestyle for another. For most, the epitome of health is as simple as a trim, ache and problem free body, in which food digests easily, blood flows freely, wounds heal quickly.

While this can be achieved, there's so much more to perfect health than just a symptom free body. 

Running that 5km daily with ease is wonderful, but are you the picture of health if you're running to prove something to those around you? Your body may be balanced and running at peak levels, but there's an imbalance in your soul that your mind is trying to balance.  Is a vegan the picture of health, eating veggies while ruminating daily about situations in the past, holding onto grudges and hurts better left in the days gone by?

Perfect Health is a balanced, pain free existence. No physical, emotional or mental pain or upsets. Because your body,  mind and soul work together, when one is out of balance, the other two will not function at their peak performance. 

Just as a person battling a debilitating physical disease struggles to keep their emotional outlook strong and positive, a person battling deep emotional wounds will have a tough time keeping their physical body strong and healthy.

Many physical ailments are the direct result of specific emotional traumas. The particular vibration of an emotional or mental weight has direct bearing on our physical body. 

Did you know that for every physical malady, there is an underlying emotional or mental imbalance? This is fantastic news, as with little education and insight, you can heal your body and your mind. Sometimes, when an emotional issue manifests physically, it's a blessing in disguise as it sheds lights on issues we've suppressed and forgotten, or ignored and become complacent with. These issues can be a lifesaving call to arms, a call to live a more joyful, loving life. Whether you deal with your past traumas or upsets through self work, journalling, meditation or talk therapy makes no difference. The key is to heal, your emotions to heal your body, by any means necessary.
