When we take on something that is emotionally, physically,
or even spiritually toxic, it can embed itself in our cells, our psyche, and
our soul.
As time goes on, the murky waters caused by taking on these toxins settle and clear out, letting us
forget it’s there. It can take years for these issues to start screaming to be
heard in the form of physical and emotional issues, such as insomnia, migraines or anxiety, but they do. And as if
that wasn’t bad enough, dealing with them can be an uncomfortable and
exhausting process. |

Roughly half of the clients I see all have the same complaint. Neck and shoulder pain. We develop neck pain for a myriad of different reasons such as stress, poor posture, poor work place ergonomics, poor pillow support or even because of reasons that aren't so cut and dry. Sometimes, our neck can bother us because of a problem in our knees, or tight hamstrings.
If you're one of the 14% of Canadians who reported having neck troubles, this blog is for you! Take a look at your toes.
Are they long and straight? |

Our bodies are very holographic in nature.
What this means
is that the small parts are reflected in the whole, and the whole is reflected
in the small. Each part of our bodies is intimately connected, and they truly
do mirror each other.
A Reflexologist is trained in reading these ‘holographs’
to be able to gather the bigger picture.
When a client first comes for Reflexology, the session is
kicked off by asking loads of questions. Not only is it important for the overall
quality of the treatment, but it helps me put the pieces together to see the
bigger picture. |

(This summer, I was honored to give a presentation to Julia Kazikov's Healthy feet class. This is an adaptation of my presentation.)
Most people are surprised to
find out that our feet mirror and map our bodies perfectly.
Nerves from each of
our systems and organs ground out through the feet. Our feet are little
miniature versions of ourselves.Take a look, you can see…
~ Your toes are connected to your
head, and everything on your head. Your ears, nose, sinuses, eyes, jaw all have
reflex points on the balls of your toes. |

Reflexology and the Bronchial Tubes I don't know about you, but this season I was hit by a whopping case of bronchitis. It’s happened to quite a few people and it was a wicked strain this year. It made me think about these little tubes that hold our lives so dear.
When was the last time that you noticed the twelve to twenty times per minute, each and every day (and night), you breathe -- thanks to your body's respiratory system.
Oxygen is a vital fuel that goes to every cell in your body. And, your cells needs oxygen supplied regularly each and every minute. |
